Ho’Oponopono

angel and stardustA new word for me, until a few months ago, but it popped up again for me today. OK, then, better pay attention, right?

Ho’Oponopono is an Hawaiian practice that means essentially to get right with one’s ancestors, or to make right with the people with whom you have relationships. I found it to be a beautiful practice and very healing. I share here with you the essentials of the practice. It is the Hawaiian code of Forgiveness, and it’s an important thought, because when we forgive others, who are we really forgiving? Ourselves, of course.

Think about it. There is a saying that I use each and every time I do the healing work that I do in practicing energetic work. “People are always only doing the best they can with the tools they have available to them at the time.” We learn, and we learn daily, and then we can make a different choice. But I do believe that people are always doing the best they can with the tools they have available at the time, no matter what.

Here is the practice:

1. Bring to mind anyone with whom you do not feel total alignment or support.

2. In your imagination, see a small platform and place the person on that platform below you.

3.Imagine now an infinite source of love and healing flowing from above you from your Higher Self, opening up the top of your head, and allowing the love and healing to flow down through your body. Check with the person on the platform and with your higher power, and make sure it is all right to heal the person, and that they will accept the healing. Feel this loving, healing energy in your own heart, and as it flows, feel it expand and overflow………. onto the person on the platform.

4. As the flow ebbs, have a discussion with the person on the platform, and forgive them, and ask that they forgive you. The words are, ” I love you”, “I forgive you”, and “Thank you.”

5. The situation or person should begin to soften and fade, or float away. Do this with any person with whom you do not feel aligned, and repeat the process until you sense you have let go of the issue.

6. Sometimes, and often this is the case, the person we need to forgive is ourselves. It may be very important to put yourself on the platform, seeing yourself at different ages, and forgiving yourself. Remember, we are always doing the best we can with the tools we have at the time.  Please love yourself, forgive yourself for any perceived “wrong”, and let it go.

I found a little stamp the other day that I had purchased years ago, and just stuck in a drawer. It is a rubber stamp that will stamp onto the paper a figure of an angel, sprinkling hearts and stars! I am stamping today this message to you with much Light of many stars………..Love is all there is. Let the rest go.

I salute the Light within your eyes where the whole universe dwells………..

Everything That Is, Is Within!

flower and sun2Many things are coming together for me, and the answers have come from going within. The answers have come, I will have to say, because I think my own heart has called on them through intention. The answers have come because of a longing in my heart for something more. The answers have come because I have followed my intuition or that “still, quiet voice within”. Many times we think that the next new car, or next relationship, or whatever it is for you or me, will bring fulfillment. It is not so. Wealthy people have material abundance beyond imagining for most of us, and yet if they have not found peace within themselves, they have not found peace. Is it not found for any one of us rather in connection and healing in our relationships? The relationships with friends, with family, with our pets and the living world around us? Is it not found in the connection with ourselves……….. in finding the peace within our own hearts? That peaceful connection within that somehow also connects mysteriously to all that is!

Paradigm Shift…………Stage Left!

The Universe  Our world is changing. Howard Martin of Heart Math Institute and Global Coherence Initiative reports that research indicates that “Judgment, hate and wars aren’t working as well.” The number of people dying in wars has been lessening since WWII. Individual and governmental efforts initiated through raw ambition and efforts at domination are less successful. Grass root efforts supporting balance and cooperation, and support of the environment and nature are springing up like never before. People are changing. Minds and hearts are changing. Gandhi reminded us to “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” As we change, the world changes. It is said we are the creators of our own reality, and quantum physics supports this. Where do “I” end and “you” begin? Change………… it begins with me….. and with you, Change……… it begins with “us”.

Summer Harvest

Tenderstem6

Summer…. not the traditional time for harvest ordinarily. But in tending my garden today, I find I am not only harvesting vegetables, but so many things that I have “planted” are coming into manifestation. And I can feel it in my gut! I am more settled. My gut is happier today. The seat of a woman’s intuition is quiet, and just kind of humming a happy little tune, I think. “

“Morning Has Broken”

Morning has broken, like the first morning
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning
Praise for the springing fresh from the world

Sweet the rain’s new fall, sunlit from heaven
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass
Praise for the sweetness of the wet garden
Sprung in completeness where his feet pass

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning
Born of the one light, Eden saw play
Praise with elation, praise every morning
God’s recreation of the new day!

From Wikipedia, I learn that this was originally a Christian hymn! I guess it kind of feels like a spiritual experience at that! Yesterday, I cut off ties with something that had come into my life, misrepresenting itself initially, it looked a “good” thing, but soon proved itself to be less than what it promised! Today, it is good to have it behind me! A neighbor has been abusive to my animals. Today as I leave to walk the dog, they are emerging from their own house with their own dog, which I have seen less than friendly, as well. Today, the black dog is on a leash, and the neighbor simply retreats to return to the house as the dog and I advance into the street. All is peaceable. All is quiet. That energy, too has calmed itself. Is it all the external world that is changing, or is it me?
The garden is growing. It too has had it’s setbacks. Last years raised bed is not producing as well in it’s second year, and I’ve had to put the eggplants and sweet peppers in pots and feed them with some good organic fertilizer. Some could go to the garden……. those that like more sun, like the okra. With water, sunshine, appropriate nutrients, and attention to their individual needs, everything is happy today, and blooming and producing fruit!
The rescued cat is fat and sassy, and starting to trust me more. He has come inside to sleep, at my feet for the first time.
Friends call. They need a ride tomorrow, if I’m available. This friend helped me put in the raised bed. I will get him over to get his car worked on tomorrow.
Friends, and animals, and the garden………… all tended, all bearing fruit! And it was me who planted the garden, who stood up for myself when wronged, and worked at the give and take that happens in relationships. Life is good today! It feels like a good harvest! They say we create our own reality. I might be starting to understand.

Promoting Connection over Separation

Mercury, the traditional ruler of Gemini, is retrograde from June 7 to July 1 (3° Cancer to 24° Gemini), exposing where we need to ‘think different,’ and develop greater emotional intelligence. Communication includes sharing what’s in our heart as well as our head. Much of what we consider to be communication — judging, criticizing, blaming, labeling — promotes separation rather than connection. We may not think of ourselves as violent, but in essence, anything that causes separation is a form of violence. When we have a harsh inner critic, we are being violent to ourselves; when we judge others, that, too, is a subtle form of violence.

Let Us Remember John Today

John lennon

If we were to examine anyone’s astrological chart for propensities towards violence or non-violence, we would likely look first and foremost at Mars, the “god of war” in mythology.  Currently, transiting Mars is the activator of the ongoing Pluto/Uranus square and will exactly square Pluto on June 14 and exactly oppose Uranus on June 25. Mars was in retrograde during the exact Grand Cross and now is moving forward. More aggressive, impulsive action may be the result hopefully channeled into breaching old structures and breaking out of fear.

It is good today to remember, I think, one of my personal favorites by John, the lyrics as follows:

“Imagine”

Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

When the World is Too Much With Us.

Loved this post from Daily OM! It so resonates with my own convictions and beliefs. In today’s stressful society, the need to ground and find our base is so important. We can be barraged with people or events that can pull us off base. Bringing ourselves back into our bodies, breathing and connecting again with our base can be a practice of mindfulness and restoration. The energy of today’s world can be chaotic, but we can always return to home base……… to ourselves and our inner wisdom. The act of physical touch can help bring us back. The tapping or energetic therapies can be a further assist when the world is “too much with us.”

What makes a woman confident is her ability to call upon her feminine wisdom.

So often in our world we tend to think of strength as a quality that arises from a place of firm determination and a will to succeed no matter the cost. Even though we might want to think of a strong woman as being defined in this way, what really makes a woman confident is her capacity for listening to her true self and being able to call upon her feminine wisdom to any situation that may arise. A woman does not need to step into an assertive role or act like a man in order to be effective at what she does—she simply needs to get in touch with her insight and sense of compassion to truly demonstrate the depth of her strength.

Listening to the feminine side of ourselves may not seem easy at first for this type of energy is something that is often overlooked in many aspects of our everyday lives. If we can connect with this part of who we are, however, we will find that there is an unlimited wellspring of strength available to us. Our capacity to tap into our intuition and listen to our inner guides, to take into account the needs of those around us, and to view a situation with compassion and love are ways that we can show the world the true power that is part of our feminine nature. When we learn to integrate this source of strength into our daily tasks and decision-making, we will find that we can be more flexible and open to the things that happen around us and more receptive to new ideas. Not only will we see the world in a different light, but we will truly start to realize the potential for this form of energy to both empower ourselves and those around us.

As we cultivate our feminine energy we can redefine the meaning of strength. By embracing our feminine power as something that is strong in its own right, we are able to use it with true assurance and determination and draw upon what truly belongs to us.

Tapping Into Light and Wisdom

We are combined body, mind and Spirit. I am aware that when I am doing energetic tapping, that because it is my intention to work with Spirit, that it does assist and is present when we ask for its assistance. Many of my clients are comfortable and believe as I do, that when we ask for its assistance, Spirit is always there. Such was the case in my work with a client last week. The request was for healing of an uncomfortable memory. We proceeded with an EMDR protocol, and as is part of the process, enlisted resources and began the tapping. She did find at the end of the session, that the level of discomfort had decreased considerably and felt that healing had occurred.

My post today is to relate that I am finding that as we move further and further into the Ascension process, that Spirit is more and more available and the Wisdom of the Light is there for us to call upon. I awoke today thinking of my client and wondering at the process of healing. In my mind’s eye, as I envisioned also in mind my work with the client the other day, I “saw” the light of understanding working with the darkness. I have often related to clients that “when the light bulb goes off” ( of awareness and increased understanding), we will never go backwards. The body has a wisdom of its own. In tapping and working with it, especially as we call on Wisdom and the Light or by whatever name we wish to give this, wisdom and healing do occur and are now even more available to those who call on it.
